In this story, we follow Diana on an adventure that redefines her role as an icon of courage and strength in a world overshadowed by an unpredictable force. The Amazon warrior possesses nothing but her unshakable faith in herself and her boundless bravery to restore balance—not only to the world she protects but also to her own future, and the future of everyone around her.
How will our heroine confront these challenges? Can she stand tall against the rising tide of darkness?
Join us in this episode to uncover the true power of Wonder Woman—and her ability to inspire the entire world.
In Gateway City, a strange structure suddenly appeared above the coast, disrupting a sunny day and casting terror over those at the beach for miles. News cameras quickly rushed to cover the event as an inverted pyramid hovered above the ocean. But suddenly, horrifying screams echoed as small, red, winged lizard-like creatures poured out from the pyramid’s cracks.
The monsters swooped down upon the citizens of Gateway City, driving them to flee in panic. Windows shattered, and people ran in deadly fear. One man fell, covering his head as the beasts descended on him—
—but then, a bolt of lightning split across the blood-red sky, scattering the creatures.
From above descended a knight riding a skeletal, winged horse. She drew a massive sword, carving a path through the monsters. Leaping from her steed, she landed heroically on the shore, felling nearby beasts with the shock of her impact.
Removing her helmet, she dipped her fingers into the blood of the fallen, smearing it across her face. Raising her hand, she spoke an ancient incantation, paralyzing the creatures and dropping them lifeless to the ground.
And through it all… a fearsome smile curved across her face.
Long ago, on the wild island of Hell, the sorceress Circe carried on her endless work in the shadows. But suddenly, she felt the warmth of the sun blaze across her back. With a sigh, she whispered:
I never thought I’d be glad to see the sun again.
Rising to her feet, she turned—and saw Apollo, Lord of the Sun, descending slowly before her.
Step forward, sorceress, he commanded. You may kneel.
Circe scowled, shielding her eyes. With a shake of her head, she replied firmly:
I’m fine where I am.
Apollo extended his hand, revealing a bundle. Circe peered at it curiously—inside was a child.
This is… a baby? Why would you bring a child into Hell?
Apollo, already beginning to ascend, declared:
This is Diana, Princess of Themyscira. The last of the Amazons. She has been torn away from her sisters by my father, Zeus—punishment for their crimes against the Giants.
He told Circe that Diana would never again see her people, for all Amazons had been imprisoned. Then he halted his climb and turned back with cold authority:
From this moment on, the word ‘Amazon’ is forbidden. I decree it. Now… try, Circe. Speak the word. I want to see.
Circe looked down at the child in her arms and whispered the word… but no sound emerged. It was as if the word itself had been erased from existence.
Satisfied, Apollo resumed his rise, leaving Circe clutching the infant. She called after him:
This is Hell! What if she dies here?
Without glancing back, Apollo replied with icy indifference:
The Giants do not care. This is her place now.
Then he vanished, casting the island back into eternal shadow.
Circe sighed, setting the child upon the rocks, watching her silently. Suddenly, a glowing serpent slithered toward the infant. Circe did not move—she was not surprised that Hell would claim the child so quickly.
The serpent opened its jaws, ready to strike—
but the baby was faster. Diana grasped its mouth, forcing it shut, and laughed as she hurled it aside.
Circe stared in shock… and then, a smile spread across her face.
From then on, their lives in Hell began. At first, Circe cared little—helping the child only when needed. But as the years passed, the powerful sorceress grew to nurture Diana, teaching her, protecting her… and in time, loving her as her own daughter.
And so, upon that damned island, the two forged a humble life together. Years rolled by—Diana grew, and Circe grew with her—until at last, the long-awaited day arrived…
In the present day, the warrior Diana pulls herself away from the inverted pyramid, the shoreline littered with the mangled corpses of the demonic lizard spawn. She strides toward a National Guard soldier and demands:
Are you in command here, soldier?
But the young man can do little more than stare at her, mouth agape, fumbling over his words.
Diana narrows her eyes and orders firmly:
Evacuate all civilians within a one-mile radius. Now.
She gestures at the twitching lizard creatures scattered across the sand.
These are nothing but heralds of what’s coming.
Suddenly, the pyramid trembles. Its base cracks and begins to open. Diana exhales sharply, turning her head back toward the soldiers.
Time’s up. Get the civilians out—bring every soldier you have.
The ground shakes as the pyramid splits wide. A colossal demonic beast emerges, crashing into the ocean before surging toward the city.
But Diana stands tall in its path, her sword raised and ready. Her voice is steady, burning with fury:
You are not welcome here, Harbinger Prime. This world will defend itself. And I stand before you wielding the legendary Sword of Athena, forged by Hephaestus himself. With it, I can return you to your maker. This world… is protected.
The monster stares at her for a heartbeat, then opens its mouth. A roar, like thunder itself, hurls Diana backward. But the beast does not relent—its voice booms across the shore:
You’ve been warned!
Before Diana can recover, her skeletal winged steed dives from the sky, unleashing a torrent of flame across the monster’s chest.
The Harbinger snarls, swatting the great beast aside as though it were an insect. Diana seizes the opening, charging forward with her blade, but the monster wheels back, its eyes igniting with burning energy. Twin beams of destructive power lance toward her.
The impact drives Diana to her knees. She groans, struggling to rise, spitting out in frustration:
Damn it—laser eyes. Always the laser eyes.
Towering above her, the monster roars again. At his cry, the fallen red-scaled lizard spawn shudder back to life, wings beating, fangs gnashing, and swarm toward Diana once more.
Their claws and beaks slash at her skin, drawing blood.
The Harbinger’s voice thunders:
You still rise against us? We warned you.
Another blast erupts from its eyes—this time, the force sends Diana tumbling across the shoreline, rolling helplessly through the sand and broken stone.
Not long ago…
Diana sat with Circe in a cavern on the blasted shores of Hell Island, the firelight flickering against the damp stone. After a long silence, the young warrior dared to speak.
Mother… I want to ask you about this word.
She pointed to her book.
Circe closed her own tome gently, a knowing smile softening her face.
I knew you would ask… eventually.
Diana’s voice quivered.
It feels… important. But I’m afraid.
Circe shook her head, brushing a hand across her daughter’s cheek.
You are not afraid of the word, my child. You fear the change it will bring. Say it, Diana. Say it, and know that it is who you are.
Diana hesitated, heart pounding, then whispered:
Amazon.
And so Circe told her the truth—of the day Apollo cast her upon this cursed isle, of how the gods had torn her from her people, and of how Circe had come to love her like a daughter despite the exile. She spoke of the giants’ decree—that the word Amazon itself was forbidden.
Tears welled in Diana’s eyes.
They stole me from my people. They tried to bury the truth of who I am. Why? Why would they do this?
Circe pulled her into an embrace.
Because the Amazons were guardians of the world against the rising dark. Without them, the balance falters. But you… you need only speak your name again, and you will become what you were always meant to be.
The girl’s voice broke as the tears fell.
Amazon.
In the present…
On the bloodstained shore, Diana staggered to her feet, pain etched across her face but her resolve burning fiercer than ever. She fixed her gaze on the towering beast threatening the city.
No, she whispered.
From her satchel, she drew forth a shimmering cord—the Lasso of Truth, glowing with a furious red aura. She wrapped it around her arm as her stance steadied.
The monstrous Harbinger Prime sneered down at her.
Stand aside, warrior. You are beaten. Leave us to prepare. This world is ours now.
He gestured for her to withdraw.
But Diana’s eyes flared with divine light, her voice cutting through the roar of the waves.
No.
She rose into the air, wings of power unfolding behind her, her weapon blazing with god-forged fire. Her cry thundered across the battlefield:
I am Diana of Themyscira. The last Amazon. Daughter of Circe. Princess of Hell. Witch of the Wild Isle. And so long as I draw breath… you will not take this world!
